Woodstock Man Dies in Tuscaloosa County Crash on Dec. 7
Dec. 8, 2025, 7:57 p.m. CT – A 21-year-old Woodstock man died on Dec. 7 following a single-vehicle accident in Tuscaloosa County, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA).
Hunter James Alexander Cook was driving a 2025 Chevrolet Silverado when he lost control, left the roadway, and struck a tree. He was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.
The incident occurred around 10:10 a.m. on Alabama Highway 171 near the 20-mile marker, approximately 20 miles north of Northport. Troopers confirmed that Cook was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
No further details have been released, and ALEA's Highway Patrol Division is conducting an investigation into the accident.
