A motorcyclist was with non-life-threatening injuries following a crash on Beltline Highway near the River Road exit in Eugene on Jan. 23.

The incident occurred just before 4 p.m., according to Melinda McLaughlin, spokesperson for the Eugene Police Department. Traffic was slowed on the highway when the motorcyclist, riding a Honda Shadow, maneuvered between lanes and collided with a Camry, subsequently being struck by a Chevy Silverado truck.

After the collision, a passing motorist positioned his truck across the lanes to prevent further accidents involving the downed rider, authorities said. The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital and cited for driving with a suspended license, , driving uninsured, and lacking an ignition interlock device.
