LITTLE ROCK — A Texarkana man was killed Sunday morning in a single-car crash on U.S. 82 east of Magnolia in Columbia County.
According to the Arkansas State Police, the accident occurred around 10:15 a.m. Authorities reported that the vehicle veered off the road, resulting in the death of the 34-year-old driver. No passengers were in the vehicle at the time of the crash.
Emergency response teams from the Columbia County Sheriff's Office and Magnolia Fire Department arrived at the scene to provide medical aid. The driver was pronounced dead on-site.
Witnesses reported that weather conditions were clear, and the roadway was dry at the time of the incident.
U.S. 82 was temporarily closed in both directions while investigators examined the scene and cleared the wreckage. The Arkansas State Police is leading the investigation, and no further details are available at this time.
