One person was seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash in Lincoln County on Monday evening.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), a 2005 Dodge Dakota was traveling westbound on Route B, west of Route W, when the incident occurred around 8:10 p.m.
The driver lost control, veering off the right side of the roadway and overcorrecting to the left. The vehicle skidded off the south side, struck a rock bluff, overturned, and ejected the driver.
The 21-year-old male driver from Silex, Mo., was airlifted to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis. Authorities reported that he was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
MSHP is investigating the crash, and no other vehicles were involved. The incident resulted in temporary lane closures on Route B while emergency services responded.
