WESTWOOD, MA — A man was left unconscious after being struck by a vehicle on Washington Street Friday afternoon.
At approximately 4:55 p.m., Westwood Police responded to the scene where a 58-year-old male sustained a head injury. He was treated on-site before being transported by ambulance to a Boston area hospital, where he is reported to be in critical condition.
Authorities did not confirm whether the driver remained at the scene post-collision.
The Westwood Police Department is conducting an investigation in coordination with the Norfolk County District Attorney's Office and the Massachusetts State Police. Witnesses or anyone with information are encouraged to contact the Westwood Police at 781-320-1000.
