Traffic Collision in Springfield Injures Three, Causes Roadway Closures
SPRINGFIELD, Oct. 10, 2023—A multi-vehicle accident on Highway 42, heading east, injured three individuals Tuesday evening.
The collision, which involved two cars and a motorcycle, occurred at approximately 6:15 p.m. near Exit 7. According to the Springfield Police Department, emergency services transported the injured to Springfield Medical Center; their conditions remain unknown.
Authorities reported that the eastbound lanes of Highway 42 were closed for approximately two hours as first responders cleared the scene. Tow trucks were dispatched to remove the vehicles involved.
