Two people were hospitalized after a late-night collision at Demorest Road and Race Street in Columbus around 11:20 p.m. Thursday, investigators said.
According to investigators, an adult driving a 2023 Ford F-150 was traveling southbound on Demorest Road when a 2010 Chevrolet HHR, westbound on Race Street, entered the intersection.
Authorities said the HHR failed to stop at a stop sign and struck the driver's side of the F-150.
A front-seat passenger in the F-150 was taken to Grant Medical Center with serious injuries. A young person in the back seat was transported to OhioHealth Doctors Hospital West with minor injuries, authorities said.
The adult driver of the Chevrolet HHR was processed for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, according to investigators.
The Accident Investigation Unit responded and opened an investigation, which remains ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Accident Investigation Unit.
