HONOLULU, HI — An 84-year-old California woman died after her vehicle crashed through a parking structure wall and fell five stories on October 1.
According to the Honolulu Police Department, the incident occurred at approximately 2:41 p.m. at a parking structure on Kapiolani Boulevard. The woman's vehicle reportedly struck a concrete wall before plummeting to the ground below.
Emergency response teams, including the Honolulu Fire Department and ambulance services, arrived on the scene promptly. Despite efforts to administer medical aid, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities confirmed that no other vehicles were involved in the crash. The roadway was temporarily closed to facilitate the investigation and remove the vehicle from the site.
