An adult and one child were hospitalized with minor injuries following a Davidson Academy school bus collision with another vehicle on Interstate 65 near Madison.
The incident occurred in the southbound lanes of I-65 around 7:40 a.m. Aug. 18, near the Old Hickory Boulevard exit. Davidson Academy is located less than 2 miles from the crash site.
At the time of the collision, 19 children were aboard the bus, according to a spokesperson for the Metro Nashville Police Department. Another bus was dispatched to transport the remaining children to school without incident.
Emergency services were on-site to assist with the injured and to manage traffic. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
