Four Injured in Head-On Collision in Southeast Thornton
Four people were injured Sunday afternoon in a head-on collision in southeast Thornton, according to the Thornton Fire Department. The crash occurred near East 100th Avenue and Riverdale Road at approximately 4:47 p.m.
One individual required extrication from a vehicle, but authorities did not disclose the number of people involved or the extent of their injuries.
Riverdale Road was closed in both directions between 100th and 104th avenues for cleanup and investigation, the Thornton Police Department reported. “This is expected to be an extended closure, and drivers will need to use alternate routes,” police stated.
