WARREN, R.I. (WJAR) — Two people were injured when a private ambulance crashed into a utility pole on Market Street Friday night.
Warren Police received the report at 7:15 p.m. regarding the incident, which involved significant damage to the pole and nearby wires.
Authorities confirmed the ambulance was engaged in non-emergency patient transport at the time of the crash.
Both the driver and the patient were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
Initial reports suggest the driver may have experienced a medical emergency while operating the vehicle.
The crash remains under investigation by local authorities.
