HENRICO COUNTY, Va. — A fatal crash has closed all northbound lanes of Interstate 295, north of the Varina-Enon Bridge, as of Thursday morning.
The incident, involving an overturned dump truck, occurred around 10:41 a.m. at the 19-mile marker. Authorities reported one fatality at the scene, with the Virginia State Police working to identify the victim.
In addition to the northbound lane closures on I-295, two lanes of southbound I-95 are closed at mile marker 84, near the I-295 overpass, due to this incident. Emergency response teams are on the scene, conducting investigations.
