Multi-Vehicle Crash on Columbus Interstate Injures Three
A multi-vehicle crash on a Columbus interstate ramp injured three individuals on the morning of Oct. 14, 2025.
The incident occurred around 7:15 a.m. on the ramp from Interstate 71 South to Interstate 670 East, involving three cars, according to a Columbus Police dispatcher. Three people were transported to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center; two are reported in stable condition, while one is in serious condition.
As of 8:15 a.m., the ramps from I-71 South to both the eastbound and westbound lanes of I-670 remained closed, causing significant traffic delays. A live traffic map from the Ohio Department of Transportation showed heavy congestion on I-71 South leading to the ramps.
Earlier that morning, the National Weather Service in Wilmington issued a statement warning of patches of dense fog that could make driving hazardous. Drivers are advised to exercise caution and be prepared for sudden changes in visibility. ODOT traffic cameras in the area captured foggy conditions at the crash site, though it remains unclear if the weather contributed to the incident.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.
