17-Year-Old Girl Dies in Head-On Crash in Fletcher

FLETCHER, N.C. (WLOS) — A 17-year-old girl from Henderson County died in a vehicle crash on Mills Gap Road on Monday, October 13, shortly before 10:30 a.m., according to authorities.

The collision involved a small SUV and a dump truck traveling in opposite directions. Emergency responders from the Fletcher Police Department, Henderson County EMS, and Fletcher Fire and Rescue were dispatched to the scene.

The victim, identified as Brianna Henn, a senior at North Henderson High School, was at the scene, police said.

The Fletcher Police Department expressed condolences, stating, “This is a terrible day for our community.” Meanwhile, Henderson County Public Schools announced that grief support services will be available at North Henderson High School starting Wednesday, October 15, to assist students and staff.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
