Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 20 Leaves One Injured
ELMWOOD, Oct. 3, 2023 — A two-vehicle crash occurred on Highway 20 at approximately 2:41 p.m. today, resulting in one injury.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), a westbound SUV lost control on icy conditions, colliding with an eastbound sedan. The driver of the SUV sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Elmwood Medical Center for treatment.
Authorities reported that both vehicles sustained significant damage. The westbound lanes of Highway 20 faced closures while emergency services cleared the scene.
CHP officers remain on-site to conduct an investigation into the cause of the accident. Further details regarding the identities of those involved have not yet been released.
