MESA, Ariz. – A fatal crash occurred early Tuesday morning in Mesa, resulting in the death of a male driver.
The incident happened at approximately 12:30 a.m. at the intersection of Mesa Drive and Hampton Avenue, according to Mesa Police.
Police reported that a single vehicle collided with a median barrier before striking an unoccupied parked vehicle. The driver, identified as an adult male, was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene.
No injuries were reported from the parked vehicle, as it was empty at the time of the collision.
Authorities indicated that speed was a contributing factor in the crash, and the investigation is ongoing.
