A 15-year-old died Friday night in a crash in Southern Glynn County.

The incident occurred at approximately 10:15 p.m. on Highway 17 near the intersection with Old Jesup Road. Authorities confirmed that two vehicles were involved in the collision, which resulted in the fatality of the teen driver. One additional passenger was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Emergency response teams from the Glynn County Fire Department and local law enforcement arrived on the scene shortly after the crash. The road was closed for approximately three hours while crews cleared the wreckage and conducted an investigation.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, no other injuries were reported. An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash is ongoing. Authorities have urged anyone with information to come forward.
