A Junction City man was killed in a crash on March 18 that closed eastbound Beltline Road for several hours.

At approximately 5:20 p.m., Kenneth Lee Gajda, 41, was driving a Ford F250 on Beltline Road when he collided with a Lexus ES operated by a 65-year-old Junction City resident.

Gajda’s vehicle veered off the roadway, crashing through a metal guardrail and striking a power pole, which it sheared off.

The driver of the Lexus did not require medical transport, according to the Eugene Police Department. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
