Caruthersville, MO. – A woman died in a two-vehicle collision on Friday morning in Pemiscot County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 7:30 a.m. on Route U, just west of Caruthersville.

A 2018 Peterbilt collided head-on with a 2017 Nissan Sentra in unclear circumstances.

The 79-year-old woman driving the Nissan was killed in the accident.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
